50-Year Celebration at Whitworth FC
This weekend we have a funfilled day at Whitworth FC as they kindly raise funds for our charity. The Charity Football Match and Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the London Road ground, celebrates 50 years of Whitworth FC, Saxon FC, and Barton Petroleum Ltd, while raising funds for Kelly’s Heroes and Maxwell Mallows Brighter Future Fund.
Event Highlights:
Football Tournament: Watch seasoned veterans compete in an 11-a-side tournament, with the top teams advancing to the final for a chance to lift the inaugural Kelly’s Heroes trophy. The tournament will be followed by an interclub competition featuring Whitworth FC’s youth teams.
Competitive Events: Show off your skills in various challenges, including Beat the Goalie, Crossbar Strike, and Touchline Spot competitions.
Family Fun Day: Enjoy a range of activities for kids, including face painting, exploring stalls, and playing on the bouncy castle. The bar will be open throughout the event, with hot refreshments and a burger van providing delicious food.
Evening Festivities: The day will conclude with a presentation and highlights of the event and entertainment from the acclaimed local vocalist, Louisa Nixon.
